Amaru Nicaragua
Social Media Management, Content Creation, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing Design, and Email Marketing for a surf resort in Northern Nicaragua.
Amaru needed an organic social media strategy to grow their following, reach new audiences, and drive bookings. By shifting from polished evergreen content to community-driven, in-the-moment, and lifestyle-based posts, we fostered stronger engagement by involving guests, staff, and future clients; creating something that resembled an authentic community more than a marketing funnel.
As a result, Amaru’s Instagram grew by over 3,000 followers organically, with hundreds more added monthly. Engagement, reach, and interaction have more than doubled, driving tangible results for the resort.
Tits Deep for Breast Cancer x Chest High
Apparel Designs and Branding for an outdoor mountain biking nonprofit and its sister surf brand - as featured in select REI locations in Colorado.
What started as a one-off mountain biking glove design project grew into a multi-product, multi-brand collaboration with Tits Deep for Breast Cancer, its sister surf brand Chest High, and the nonprofit’s many collaborators.
The result? Three highly popular lines of outdoor gear that support survivors and young women in breast cancer treatment, and drive awareness for the cause through bold, unapologetic messaging.
Sold by Tits Deep, REI, HandUp Gloves, and Party Shirt International.
Wovenflow
Logo and brand design for a line of 3D printed surf fins made from recycled commercial fishing nets.
Simplicity, responsiveness, and storytelling were key in this logo design. In the surf industry, fins are largely standardized and there are a select few brands that most consumers have known and trusted for decades. In order to win over trust in just a quick glance, I wanted to create a logo that reflects the general style of these tried-and-true brands (clean & simple), but still stands out as a unique competitor with a story worth hearing.
Project Rock
Apparel Design for a rock climbing gym in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The requirements for this design were that it only include three colors and somehow involved the logo of the rock climbing gym (pictured below). In order to appeal to the members of this climbing gym, I took a look at trending t shirt designs at REI, the North Face, Patagonia, and other retailers where Project Rock’s members likely shop. Hand-drawn illustrations, bright colors, and hand-lettering were a few of the trends that influenced the final piece.
The end result is one design, reassembled in various formats and degrees of complexity depending on its intended use and placement. The gym is able to use all three parts of the design for a single shirt, or use the different iterations separately.
Parallel Threads
Logo & Shirt Designs for a grunge apparel and activewear brand for women.
Parallel Threads needed a logo and four t-shirt graphics for their brand drop. They presented four general concepts and asked for a grungy, hand-drawn look that included a few feminine touches.
This line of apparel called for both hand-illustrated and more digital-heavy designs, coming together into a cohesive and strongly branded, but well-rounded line of apparel for the brand’s first drop.
APOLLO SANDS
Logo and apparel designs for an up-and-coming surf lifestyle brand based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
The creators of Apollo Sands came to me with an idea for a surf company, needing a logo and shirt designs in order to get it off the ground. They presented two shirt concepts they were most excited about, and wanted to go for a hand-illustrated style.
For the trickier design, which was a concept of two female surf silhouettes walking inside a sun, I pulled inspiration from the popular surf brand, Billabong, which often features more complex designs in their women’s apparel lines.
